- an individual or company that has no one to maintain their Drupal based web site."I can't find anyone to work on my site, am I a Drupal Orphan?"Similar: poor service from current maintainer, overcharged for services rendered.
- having the feeling you deserve better service
Not what you were expecting, is it? You'd think that someone who could work on your Drupal site would have one that was pretty fancy, with all the "bells and whistles". I thought about that, but decided on this.
Why? Because this is a default Drupal web site. This is what your site looked like the first day developers started on it. From this, they created what you have now. It took a lot of work; a dedicated team of people that worked very hard to get it right.
Then they gave it to you and what happened? It got harder and harder to get things done.
I can tell you why that happened. It’s because the money is in creating the sites. There isn't nearly as much in taking care of it after things are finished. In many ways, a lot (not all) agencies are like a traveling carnival. Once the engagement is over, it's on to the next town. That's the only way they can support that great team they have.
That is why you are a Drupal Orphan. That is why I created this site. I saw a need for servicing Drupal sites. I can take care of all those things Drupal Orphans need; updates, additions, changes and helping you understand what you have and what Drupal can do.
The next question is, who am I? My name is Vilmos Branyik and I was born and raised in Dunlap, Illinois. I am what they call a Senior Drupal Developer and I worked for those agencies. I've worked on some of the busiest sites on the Internet. Sites people depend on every day. I know how Drupal works and what it can do and I can help you if you need it.
I don't use technical speak and can explain things in a way you can understand. If you need me, I'm available.
